UnderWire co-founder Gabriella is a freelance screenwriter and tutor and runs monthly storytelling event Storytails in Stoke Newington. Alongside this, Gabriella teaches writing at the Lyric Theatre and Birkbeck College, and is on the Board of Euroscript having penned several short films, and been commissioned to write original prose for installations. Most recently, Gabriella Co-Produced a short film about child pornography entitled “Hooray for Hollywood” which premieres at Amnesty International on 4th October 2011.
Elizabeth Benjamin
Having worked at the BFI for over four years and for Independent companies Emfoundation and now Margaret, Elizabeth specialises in features and documentaries with social or musical content, working with directors such as Shane Meadows, and musicians including Daft Punk and The Pixies. She has directed PR for Birds Eye View, Branchage, and Open City London film festivals, among others. In 2010 she completed a short doc and an MA in Anthropology. She is part of UCL’s ‘Doc in a Day’ initiative, teaching young people how to make documentaries; she has written for Little White Lies and currently works in Paris and London.
Becky Brand
Becky is Head of Communications and Operations for Women in Film and Television (WFTV) UK where, among other things, she runs their quarterly screening series, Show Us Your Shorts. She has sat on juries for various film festivals and competitions, and is responsible for the UK’s submission to the annual WFTV International Short Film Showcase.
Harriet Fleuriot
Harriet is the Film Campaigns Manager for Skillset, where she raises awareness of Skillset’s work with the film industry as part of the UK film skills strategy, A Bigger Future 2. Previously she has managed social media campaigns for film and entertainment brands as well as film festivals Birds Eye View and Branchage, and delivered filmmaking workshops and social media training with the likes of Shooting People, Architecture Foundation and Headliners. Last year Harriet launched Fashion Popcorn with her sister Emily and mother Constance. She is also an award-winning filmmaker and performance artist.
Sarah Mosses
Sarah is the Good Pitch Outreach Director and Good Screenings Producer for the Channel 4 BRITDOC Foundation. She began working with the Foundation during the BRITDOC Film Festivals 2006-2008 and then progressed to act as Distribution Consultant for The Yes Men Fix The World and Erasing David, helped launch the Yes Men and Shooting People Branded Channels for the Babelgum online platform and acted as a consultant for Working Films.
