DESCRIPTION

Seven elderly monks in a small Cistercian monastery in Ireland strive to keep their spiritual life and fragile community going. They gather in church seven times a day to pray. Director Anna Frances Ewert’s debut feature, which has screened at prestigious documentary festivals True/False and Sheffield Doc/Fest, is a contemplative portrait of a monastery, reflection on faith and aging, looking at the challenges of its seven subjects with frankness and humour.
