Faced with writer’s block when preparing her new project, filmmaker Sally (Potter, playing herself) travels to Paris, where she discovers and becomes entranced with the tango. Dissatisfied with the writing process, she enrols herself in tango lessons with Pablo Verón (in his screen debut, also playing a version of himself). Together, they strike a bargain: if he makes her a tango dancer, she will make him a movie star. A film of electrifying passion, which Sally Potter directed, produced, starred in (and partially composed the score for), that explores dance, passion and the struggle of leading and following.

The event will include a special introduction by film academic and critic Sophie Mayer.
